About Sun and Shield Academy
Sun and Shield Primary & Junior School is a Christian educational institution located approximately 21 kilometers from Nakuru Town on the Marigat–Nakuru Road in Kenya. Established in 2007, the school had its first candidates sit for the K.C.P.E examinations in 2012. It operates as both a day and boarding school, serving students from early childhood through junior school levels. The school's educational approach includes the Early Years of Education (EYE) program, which encompasses Play Group, Pre-primary One, and Pre-primary Two, along with the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and the 8-4-4 system. Its vision is to become a top accomplished Christian Academy, while its mission focuses on developing achieving, brilliant, confident, disciplined, and exemplary pupils in a child-friendly environment for academic and divine distinction. The school emphasizes Christian values through its chaplaincy program and has achieved recognition in events like the Kenya RoboTech Championship 2025. It caters to both girls and boys across its programs.
