About Peace Junior School
Peace Junior School is a private, multi-cultural day and boarding school located in Ngummo, next to KEMRI in Nairobi. Founded in 1993 as a kindergarten, the school expanded rapidly, relocating in 1997 to its current facility, which includes a 2-storey and a 3-storey building. The school operates under Christian principles and emphasizes excellence as its core motto, positioning itself as one of Nairobi's top educational institutions. It offers a comprehensive educational pathway from pre-primary through junior secondary levels. The pre-primary section includes PP1 and PP2, followed by lower primary (Grades 1-3), where students are prepared for middle school. Upper primary (Grades 4-6) concludes with KNEC assessments to determine readiness for lower secondary. The junior secondary level (Grades 7-9) also involves KNEC assessments for progression to senior school. The school provides separate boarding facilities for boys and girls in upper primary and junior secondary. It has demonstrated strong academic performance, notably in the 2023 KCPE and KPSEA exams. Beyond academics, the school fosters student development through activities like a skating club, student council, assemblies held three times weekly, and creative pursuits such as clay sculpting. Key events include a Prize Giving Day on February 28, 2024, a mid-term break from February 29 to March 5, 2024, and an AGM on March 23, 2024.
