Drilling For Life is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing access to clean, potable water to communities in need, with a particular focus on remote areas of Kenya. The organization addresses the critical issue of water scarcity, where thousands of children die daily due to unsafe drinking water, and people may walk up to 10 miles to find water sources that are often contaminated.
By drilling and equipping solar-powered boreholes, Drilling For Life aims to reduce waterborne diseases, prevent conflicts over scarce resources, and improve livelihoods. Since its inception, the organization has completed over 500 water projects, impacting over 1,000,000 people across multiple counties in Kenya.
It operates with two fully functional drilling rigs capable of drilling boreholes up to 350 meters deep, supported by qualified professional staff, including a director with over 30 years of experience as a certified water well driller. The mission is encapsulated in the phrase 'Giving life one well at a time,' emphasizing sustainable solutions to water access challenges.
